Attributions

Draft for early access. The full version will be in place before Zooky opens to the public.

Sources and software licences for third-party material used in Zooky. Zooky's own explanations and exercises are written for the app; source formulas and factual values are cited where they appear.

OpenStax

OpenStax attribution: © Rice University, OpenStax, under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International licence. Zooky restates the cited values/formulas in its own interface; it does not reproduce those books.

U.S. National Institute of Standards and Technology

  • NIST Special Publication 811, Guide for the Use of the International System of Units, and NISTIR 5078, Weights and Measures Standards of the United States: A Brief History. Public-domain U.S. government publications; the Toolbox restates unit-prefix and reference table information.

Audio and text-to-speech

Audio lessons currently call the browser's built-in speech-synthesis API and use a voice available on the learner's device; Zooky does not bundle that voice. Browser/OS voice providers set their own terms.

The codebase has an optional Kokoro-82M v1.0 server-rendered audio path, but it is off unless separately configured. The Kokoro project publishes its model under Apache-2.0. The precise voice asset and its license have not been confirmed for Zooky's deployment, so no Kokoro voice is represented here as active or cleared for use.

Third-party library licences

Open-source software dependencies and their licences are listed in the repository lockfile and package metadata. This page covers learning content sources and audio voice/model attribution.
